UNFORGETTABLE CONNECTIONS

COMMUNITY CENTRE

Just a few steps from our restaurant, the beautiful bamboo structure of our Kaura Bali Community Centre serves as an important cultural bridge between our guests and the local villagers – where each group can learn about the other while gaining a greater understanding of local craftsmanship and organic farming techniques. The centre also serves as a kids' extracurricular learning space for creative arts and nature-themed classes.

KAURA BALI STAFF

In Kaura Bali we do not have managers, instead we have kelihan. Our team leaders are prajuru and our hosts are krama, or you can call us mbok and bli. These terms originate from the names of members from Balinese banjar and villages across the island. Most of the staff you will meet here reside within a 10-kilometre radius of the retreat.

There are two things the Balinese are known for: smiling and talking. We love to talk, so never hesitate to start a conversation with us. Some of our staff members may be shy to start off with, but that is quickly replaced by them telling you about their lives and you about yours.
